A gated residential development by Dubai Properties is called Mudon. Originally intended to be three times as large as it is now, Mudon, which means "cities" in Arabic, was a very ambitious undertaking. Mudon was supposed to be a sizable city within Dubai that replicated five historic Middle Eastern cities: Baghdad, Beirut, Cairo, Damascus, and Marrakech. At the junction of Al Qudra Road and the Emirates Road (E611), a brand-new home development is now being built on the edge of the desert in Dubailand. With more off-plan extensions to be delivered soon, the development is a collection of townhouses and villas that are ready for immediate occupancy. It is also a well-liked location to purchase reasonably priced villas in Dubai.
A relatively new residential development, Mudon offers mid-level luxury family homes and well spaced out and planned townhouses. The area is predominantly composed of independent 3, 4 and 5-bedroom villas and has a huge selection of 4-bedroom townhomes.
